Prospective Students

The Maddie’s® Shelter Medicine Online Program is ideal for veterinarians and administrators working in or interested in the field of animal sheltering and welfare. All courses are offered online so that you can continue working full time while studying in this exciting field. The online Maddie’s® Shelter Medicine Program accepts students year-round.

Master’s Degree Minimum Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree in any subject from an accredited institution
  • An upper-division GPA of 3.1 or better
  • GRE examination with scores in the 60th percentile or better
    • All applicants must have ETS (Educational Testing Service) send their official GRE test scores directly to the UF Office of Admissions at code 5812.
    • If you have earned a graduate or professional degree from an accredited university in the U.S., you are exempt from this requirement and do not need to submit GRE scores.

If you are an international student whose native language is not English or who earned a bachelor’s degree from a non-English speaking country, you must take the TOEFL examination. Click here to learn more about requirements for international students.
