Sarah Green, Director of the Jeffersonville Animal Shelter, Jeffersonville, Indiana

Being a student in the Shelter Medicine program has been such a great experience.  I have been in the animal welfare field for close to 20 years and wish I had found this program sooner.   After the first semester, I was already implementing new protocols that improved the quality of life for my shelter animals and has increased the morale of my staff.  I truly believe that the education I am receiving will help me better serve my community and the animals in my care. I highly recommend the shelter medicine program to anyone working in animal welfare.

My Operations Coordinator is also enrolled and we have both learned so much and are already implementing some much needed changes in our shelter protocols. I am so grateful that I received an email last year about the availability of this degree. I did not even know such a thing existed!
