Dr. Laurie Wright, DVM, M.S.
Laurene (Laurie) Wright holds a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University. She earned her Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine with a concentration in Shelter Medicine from the University of Florida in 2018. She also earned a graduate certificate in Shelter Medicine from UF in 2013. She transitioned into shelter medicine after 27 years in private practice and worked as the medical director for an open admissions municipal shelter for 5 years. She has experience in HQHVSN and forensic medicine. She also served as department chair and program director for a veterinary technology program in Michigan for 12 years. Laurie has been an instructor for UF since 2013 and currently has returned part-time to clinical practice.
