Lacie Davis, MPA, MS
Lacie started in emergency management in 2007 in Brevard County, Florida. She spent 5-plus years as the emergency manager for all things animals, including ensuring the county had plans for animals in disasters. During that time, she had the opportunity to volunteer with the ASPCA on the second-largest dog fighting bust in history. Through that work, Lacie immersed herself in learning more about how she could further her impact on animal welfare.
In 2015, she was hired onto the ASPCA Field Investigations and Response Team. Over the years, she held various roles: Disaster Response Manager, Shelter Manager, and Animal Rescue Technician. Her tenure was marked by continuous growth and development, working alongside and learning from leaders in veterinary medicine, sheltering, and behavior.
Lacie holds a BS in Sociology with a minor in Community Health, a Master’s in Public Administration, and a postgraduate certificate in Public Policy Analysis from Old Dominion University. She also holds a Masters in Veterinary Medical Sciences – Concentration in Shelter Medicine from the University of Florida.
