Soi Dog Foundation is the premiere agency working to combat the cruel dog meat trade in Southeast Asia and conducts a national sterilization and vaccination campaign for stray dogs. Dr. Polak’s interests include stray animal management, high-volume, high-quality spay neuter, and feline infectious diseases. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventative Medicine and a former resident in Shelter Medicine at the University of Florida Maddie’s® Shelter Medicine Program and a former intern in Shelter Medicine and Surgery at Colorado State University. Dr. Polak is also a co-instructor in the Maddie’s® Certificate in Shelter Medicine online program.
