Dr. Donnett Presenting at Music City Veterinary Conference

One of our faculty members, Dr. Uri Donnet, DVM, MS, DABVP, is presenting at the Music City Veterinary Conference, February 18-20, 2022. He will be among the Small Animal speakers on February 18, focusing on topics of Medicine and Management for Feline Upper Respiratory Disease, Treatment and Management for Canine Heartworm Disease in the Shelter Setting and Best Practices for Canine Transport.

Dr. Donnet received his DVM from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 and completed a Masters of Science in Veterinary Preventive Medicine at Iowa State University as well. Uri then completed an internship and residency in shelter medicine at Mississippi State University from 2015-2018. Uri has worked in academia from 2018-2021 as the Maddie’s Clinical Instructor in Shelter Medicine for the University of Wisconsin-Madison Shelter Medicine Program. Uri is now the Chief Veterinarian at the Dane County Humane Society in Madison, WI. Uri is board certified in Shelter Medicine Practice through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. His veterinary interests include high quality/high volume spay/neuter, other shelter surgery, transport programs, epidemiology, and infectious disease in the shelter setting as well as high-quality low-cost medical care for rural and resource­ scarce shelters and communities. Uri has served on the board for the Association of Shelter Veterinarians since 2018.
