Dr. Lawrence “Larry” Garcia has published in the Journal of Veterinary Medical Education on assessing the preparedness of veterinarians to deal with natural and man-made disasters, including COVID-19. Dr. Garcia serves as medical director of the UF Veterinary Emergency Treatment Services disaster response team and is a faculty member for the Online Shelter Medicine program.
